A great way to start your own fern collection, 5 different species/varieties of hardy ferns as plug plants. The photograph shows the approximate kind of size plants you will receive, obviously deciduous ferns will appear smaller in winter! They will be un-named but all are hardy.
Plug plants do need extra care. Their smaller root size means that watering must be watched as they can dry out more quickly. if this happens they are usually fine and will grow back. Overwatering can also be an issue and they are less likey to come back after this. On receipt unwrap them and give them a drink and pot into 9cm or similar pot size with good drainage. Use a good quality compost and grow in a lightly shaded spot.
