A lovely Trillium which grows up to 50cm tall, with, usually maroon, floers atop the three leaves. We have found our sed raised plants to be predominantly white so expect either! It is a similar flower to trillium erectum, indeed it was only given the species name of T. sulcatum in 1984. it is differentiated by the upturned, boat shaped (hence the name) sepals. it is also more robust.
as with the other Trilliums, give them a shady spot, dappled shade is perfect, with a well drained and a moisture retentive, humus rich soil.
